It *is* called SUNDAY Ticket, not FRIDAY NIGHT ticket. Nobody is getting
tonight's game, except those in KC or Miami. You'll get over it.

By the way, the second sports bar I tried said they CAN get the CBS
affiliates in Miami and Kansas City with their big dish, they just need
the coordinates. Which I'm finding now.

Woo hoo! F*CK THE NFL!

Plus, Sunday Ticket never included the Saturday games.

Then again, now that they do ST blackouts on the games carried by the locals, ST doesn't include me,
either. But that's beside the point.

Yes, and this game was SCHEDULED for Sunday, simpleton.

Is it the fault of subscribers that it got moved? No. So we should
get it. It's the right thing to do - you know, give people what they
PAID FOR?

A friend of mine got two months of Showtime for not being able to see the game
on sunday. He called and complained. Although you couldn't give me showtime
for free but I guess it was something. I would have went for the superfan
thing for free.

And now all of a sudden you don't give a crap about missing the game.

Good job sticking it to 'em. You got way more than that game is worth. You can
keep the showtime but the 30 bucks is a good deal.

And it was moved to Friday, hence it's not on *SUNDAY* ticket. This
is not rocket science.

What logic!

Read the description of what Sunday Ticket is...before you start
blabbing about *what* you paid for.

Ideally they should give some kind of credit for the rescheduled
game, but there is nothing in the package rules that force them to do it.
I gave up Sunday Ticket a long time ago, mainly because it is overpriced
(including the so-called enhancements). The $200+ price when figuring
cost per game is ridiculous compared to sports like MLB Extra Innings
and NBA League Pass.

If the NFL scheduled as many games each week as NBA and MLB, the NFL ST
package cost would be less. How many weeks are in NBA and MLB seasons?
Why does NFL football attract more viewers than MLB or NBA?

In response to Jack Ak:
You are right that the NFL attracts more viewers than the NBA,but NOT
Major League Baseball.I think for most years,MLB comes out on top.
There are 162 games in MLB,of which in any ONE team about 85% (at least
in my area anyway) are televised and only cost $169.
if you throw in the Extra Innings package as well as post season play,it
is more games than you can possibly watch.
As a televised event,NFL though popular with its only 16 game season is
just bad value.I just stick to my local team on local network
affiliates. The NBA with it's 84 game schedule and $149 season TV cost is
fast approaching economic bad value as well.I have not decided whether I
will give them up yet.
When I first got the Sunday Ticket back in 1997,they were on C-Band
dish ONLY and at that time only cost $99 as a season TV package
investment.Now they are a DirecTV exclusive,with a $200+ cost.I do not
think their value has appreciated that much, but to each his own.

From a 10th anniversary announcement on the DirecTV website:
"as it was in 1994, when DIRECTV introduced the concept of out-of-market
sports broadcasts with NFL SUNDAY TICKET"

NFL Sunday Ticket existed on C-band before DirecTV was created. Don't
believe everything you read on DirecTV's website.

This is probably the last year they do ST blackouts.
