Hello,
Does anyone know how I can get a decoder card for VIACCESS terrestrial TV
channels? I would really like to get pattern file for the copper-board and
software needed. I have a friend who can make copper circuit board tracks. I
have also got a picture of the circuit of a "Goldcard" but not the scale or
positions of the pads that make contact inside the receiver.

As I understand it, the Swedish/UK digital terrestrial systems are basically
a replica of the digital satellite system, but with only selected channels,
plus a few others. My Thomson DTI 2000 is already receiving the five "free"
channels, but CNN, BBC, etc all need a "VIACCESS" card.

If anyone else has information/knowledge but no electronic expertise then I
know "who to use" and perhaps we can help each other?

I can get boards etched and drilled, EPROM's and PICs burned. Just need
software to etch/burn :-(

Please respond to me at oeieio (at) hotmail (dot) com

PS

I also have an analogue satellite receiver, presently pointing at ASTRA. I
have now got 23 channels: all in German! I know very little German, just a
few words (Volkswagen, Mercedes, etc) so it would be nice to find a few
other channels in analogue format.

Are there any other analogue channels out there on another satellite that I
can receive with a simple 70cm dish? The receiver is LUXOR Mac 3 CS, which
has space for two cards. Perhaps it could be possible to make a card to
decode stuff?
