It seems that Turner is wanting to deny access to their analog channels to
C-Band. The analog feeds are not leaving, they only will not be available to
us. The effected channels include cnn, tbs, tnt,tv land and cartoon network.

Please take time to contact Turner and make your opinion known. Contact info is
below. You may want to remind them that FCC regulation require that their
signals be made available to all cable companies.

In the past FOX attempted to deny access to their national feeds if FX and FOX
to C-Band users. The FCC regulation did not allow them to do this, if the
signal must be provided equitably to all cable companies (BUD providers
included).

The programming provider is not affiliated with Turner in Atlanta and
never has been.

We haven't got a consumer friendly lot up there in Washington

these days, so expect more tightening of regs in favor of business
and relaxing of regs that harm business.

I am receiving Turner Classic Movies via Ku-band/4DTV and maybe NPS will be able to
provide the mentioned channels. It looks as if C-band analog is nearing the end for
those receiving them as paid satellite channels. It is looking more and more each
day that analog television transmissions will go the way of the Beta recording
format. And Beta was and still is a better method than VHS.
