Since Michigan is so close to Windsor, are Canadian channels available
via Direct TV, etc. ?

Not by satellite providers. You might find them on cable though.

No need (or possibility) to pirate a Canadian service. You can grey market
sub though.

If it makes you feel any better, Trio hasn't had any Canadian
shows in years, since CBC and Power Broadcasting sold it to
USA Networks (now part of NBC Universal). They do air "EZ
Streets," by Canadian Paul Haggis. But that was a U.S. show.

B) Use an "address broker". You pay them to maintain a legitimate address
for you, they pay the subscription costs and you pay them plus markup.
