Tried to install new C Ku feedhorn but couldn't use it. After putting the
old one (C only) back on we now get diagonal lines floating across picture.
Any hints as to what it could be?

Diagonal lines sometimes are indicative of "bleedover" interference from
some source crossing over a pair of connections. When you first installed
the C/Ku LNB you had 2 separate connects ONE to the C-Band and ONE to
the Ku-Band terminals on the back of your receiver EVEN if you have a
dual feedhorn setup.
Now,when you went back to C-Band only, did you disconnect the Ku-Band
wires FROM THE BACK OF THE RECEIVER? Frequency "slop" could occur if
your receiver "thinks" it has a dual frequency band connection and only
one frequency band is available.I am not saying this is your problem, but
I thought I would suggest it.

Thank you. I had disconnected the wire but had't reset the receiver options.
It is back to the quality I had before I started all this! Mary
