Apparently World Harvest is using some mode of audio modulation
other than the standard Wideband or Narrowband FM. They list 4 audio
subcarriers, and I would be interested in listening to the 7.46 Mhz
one.

Can anyone with one of the new PCI Satellite cards decode this audio?

What would I need to decode this audio, anyone have any suggestions?
I tried both Wideband and Narrowband on my Uniden Supra but no luck.
I wrote to their tech people but in meantime was wondering if anyone
else has a way to tune this in?

Thanks,

Jim

There are several subcarriers on World Harvest Television (WHT) I can
detect,but none at 7.46Mhz on my 4DTV 920.

I detected these subcarriers all in NARROW BAND (none in WIDEBAND):

6.20Mhz... Left audio of video channel stereo format of WHT

6.30Mhz....Religious Music Station LEFT subcarrier (counterpart of
7.30Mhz) [Could not identify station]

6.80Mhz...Right audio of video channel stereo format of WHT

7.10Mhz...Satellite Transponder ID tone

7.30Mhz...Religious Music Station RIGHT subcarrier

7.40Mhz...Spanish language subcarrier (I could not identify it)

7.75Mhz....Religious Music (mono)

7.80Mhz...Religious Talk Programming

These are all the subcarriers I could detect....I am not saying more are
not there, but that is all I could find ITC.

Addendum: It COULD be frequencies associated with DIGITAL SCPC (Single
Channel Per Carrier). If it is,you would need a special receiver or a
free to air digital DVB receiver THAT IS CAPABLE (not all are) to pick
those up,because if that carrier is active, that ONE specific frequency
could be divided into SEPARATE sub-IF carriers, all in mono mode.I am not
saying that is the case,as I do not have such a receiver myself,( I have
DVB FTA,but not SCPC capable)but it is possible and is being deployed
more and more lately....it is aimed more at commercial uplinks rather
than a backyard dish consumer like most of us.

Would a Pansat 2500A have such capabilities?

well, tried again this morning using NARROW bandwidth and audio
gain way up and got:

7.20 CWID
7.30
7.40
7.76
7.88

None of them would be what I would term practically useable.
Thanks again for trying for me.

Jim

I can't figure out why you can receive them with a 4DTV receiver and I
can't with an analog Uniden Supra receiver. The channels on Lyngsat
are listed as "A" (which I assume means Analog). I do hear something
very weak around 7.7 Mhz, but not useable.

I wrote to the technical people at WHRI but have not received response
yet. I suspect that you are correct in that you need some type of
commerical oriented receiver to receive the audio.

I was hoping one of the new PCI receiver cards would decode it, as
that would not be too expensive to buy.

Thanks for the suggestions, and if I hear from WHRI tech staff will
pass it along here.

There are no analog PCI tuner cards, they are DVB digital only.

Jim asked in response to a post:
----"Would a Pansat 2500A have such capabilities?"---- (asking about
SCPC digital capability)

Reply: It could,I do not know as I am unfamiliar with that receiver
model.I have a Sat Cruiser 101 Plus,an old product line.From what I can
tell from other posts in this NG,the Pansat line of receivers are very
adept and it most likely does.
Perhaps some other posters could clarify whether this receiver does
SCPC digital.
