We just received a product announcement for the 512MB memory card for
the 276, 296, 376 and 396.

It is the Garmin card. The SP3 was not listed on the announcement.

memory range of up-to 256 meg, though that was when they thought they
wouldn't produce a larger card!

Sorry but I wouldn't know what to check. I suspect the server must be
seeing it as spam and I don't have any control over that. What is after @ in

Dirk,
gmx is a known spammer. They are regularly blacklisted.
If you want to find out about it, write an email to gmx, but I
can already guess their answer, if any. It may be an interesting
experience for you though, to take gmx through its paces.
My personal recommendation would be to move away from gmx and
use a reputable service provider.

You bet. Keeping memory low is one of the methods for
accelerated obsolescence, one that Garmin uses excessively in my
personal view.
The sad truth is that In the current situation of many clueless
first-time buyers they would lose business if they assisted in
upgrading older devices.
