Hi,

I'm moving to Sky Plus so I've just got a new box and a quad LNB.

I've been using a standard LNB (from Cambridge Industries) with
mini-dish (nr Frankfurt) for several years and have had no problems at
all with reception.

I have just put the new LNB in and I have lost certain channels
(doesn't matter whether I use my old or new box).

The major channels I cannot now get are:
* ITV2/ITV4 [118/120], Disney Channel(s) [611-614], regional BBC1
channels [946-951], ITV1 London [963]
* EuroNews [528], Extereme Sports [419]
* Film Four Channels have poor reception [323-325]

I have tried re-aligning the dish but I just cannot get these channels
no matter what I do.

I am expected to get a bigger dish with a quad LNB?
Is a dual LNB more likely to work with my existing dish?
Or does it sound like a faulty LNB?
Is there a setting on the LNB I need to adjust?

Thanks in advance

Tiff

were not there, although ITV3 and all the ITV1 variants were

Didn't notice.

Try swapping which feed from the LNB you use.

There is no real difference between a quad LNB and a single
LNB excepting that you may have had a 'good' single one and
a less good quad one.

The angle that the LNB is rotated and moving in in and out
can be very critical to get the best results.

A minidish is a bit on the small size.

Skew ? I haven't got a quad LNB but I assume it has the same

adjustment provided for with the bit sticking out underneath
positioned on a ratchet.

Did you use a meter to align the dish? Did you check the skew?

Try a different output from the quad LNB.
