When I got up at 5 am EST, the Music Choice channels were still running. At
6 am, XM was up, however most of the stations said "No Information".

I also caught a quick glimpse of a slide that said something about the
channel(s) being monaural. Will XM be monaural or stereo?

I haven't noticed whether XM is mono or stereo.

I have noticed that there is now talking on the music channels. This sucks.

XM is a radio service. Ever hear a radio station that didn't have
announcers?

I agree.. XM does suck because of the talking.

Ah, thanks for the reminder about this.

DirecTV kind of answered one of my questions; they have a slide
that says several XM channels will be running Christmas music
starting on Thanksgiving. Does anyone here know whether any XM
channels do music for other holidays? Christmas music is easy
to find on normal radios; I enjoyed the Hallowe'en, St. Patrick's
Day, etc. music on Sounds of the Seasons.

I see two talk channels so far: one about baseball and one with
some talk shows I haven't heard of. I hope they'll add more of
their talk channels later; I'm crossing fingers for XM Public Radio.

The DMX and Music Choice services that XM and Sirius are replacing in some
places are music only. No DJ's - song information displays on the TV screen.

But those aren't really radio stations, now are they? Anyways, I'd
rather not deal with the DJ's either. There's a few stations out here
OTA that don't have DJ's. It's wonderful.
