My newsserver hasn't picked up on the original post, so I didn't see
that part. I agree then. In my mind, grey-market is ok, as long as
someone's paying for the service, but dbs pirates take away from all of
us.

XM has a huge music catalog, something like 300,000 songs, whereas Sirius has a far smaller catalog, something like 50,000 songs.

John -- totally agree with your post -- but these numbers are a little
off -- XM's last statement indicated something over 2.1 million tracks;
Sirius' last statement was about 500,000.

Of course, neither plays all of those, presumably -- so your numbers
might be right on considering the numbers of tracks actually used on a
routine basis.
