simple answer to your statement.................... YES ....................
as soon as I retire I will sell my house, take all my money, my government

get put in the front of the line for any problems and ailments I have.

Shane , Last week I went to the Vet with my dog in Terrebonne ...I couldn't
believe the attention and care he received while in there. I asked his Doc
if he would be willing to take me in as a patient. He smiled but little did
he know I was damn serious.
We waited like 10 mins in a waiting room with 12 poeple, In 3 minutes my dog
was weighed, temperature, blood pressure and vitals taken. Full exam and a
prescription. Cost me $25 and we were out in 30 mins.
This week my wife suffered a broken finger. We waited at the hospital
waiting room with 20 people for 7 hours, xrays took 2 hours, saw the doctor
after 9 hours. They bandaged her up with a harness and gave her a Rx .
After 11.5 hours we were out of the hospital.( St.Jerome) Cost $0 Rx $37.
Now you tell me If Medicare is so fuckin great in Quebec and Canada.
If we look at the RICH people, they dont fuck around in Hospitals like the
middle class. They have their own doctors and clinics. If we look at the
very poor ? They already benefit FREE medical care and dont give a shit
about waiting. That leaves the MIDDLE class of workers like us who's time
and money is important and were the ones having to put up with the
disgracefull and primitive ZULU medicare service we get here.
I dont blame you a bit to move to the US. I have never been treated so well
as when I was hospitalized in Albany ny a few years ago. Sure I had a
private insurance and why not ?
You will never get or ever hope to get, the professional medical attention
they give you in the US.
Here, and I am not kidding, you can compare our medical service in general
as a Medic camp in some Slavic country. Shameful and it's not getting better
believe me with the baby boomers getting old all together.....God help us

Depends on what you watch. My wife watches H&G and the food network which
are available on both systems. I watch the major networks Canadian and US
(CBS, NBC,ABC, FOX). You can't get the Canadian networks in the US and most
of the guys I know who have Dish or Direct also have a basic cable
subscriptions in order to get the domestic networks
I also watch local sports (Leafs, Raptors, Jays, Argos) & golf ; A&E and
sometimes CNN and PBS. I also watch the Movie channels which appear to be
about the same in number as the US networks, we get the same movies on PPV,
but also have to have a lot of Canadian movies which seems to bug a lot of
people. Our movie chanels carry most of the HBO special programming as well
such as the Sopranos and Rome. One channel I really like and wish we could
get up here is Turner Classic Movies. I just love those golden oldies.
I've got 7 of the theme packs and I couldn't agree more that most of it is
useless crap. In looking at the programming packages available on Dish, I
see much of the same crap. Admittedly ther seem to be a lot more sport
channles which is great foir those who will watch any sporting event no

If Dishnet has any movie channels (not PPV) that are
commercial free then they have the BEV garbage beat
already. For the rest of the features, I doubt anybody

What gets me about the CRTC is that they will not allow US programming into
Canada but if we look at the Book and Recording and movie industry, It's a
wide open market on the pretext that it is educational. Isn't TV educational
? They should get rid of those OLD FARTS in government and use the money
elsewhere where it's really needed. With a 10 to 1 population loss in
Canada vs US we'd have everything to gain and rid the industry of useless
crooks like BEV and SC selling us their crap at a ratio that his higher than
our US neighbors.

Well I had the do your own combo thing with 2 themes & movie networks,
was coming up to about $55.00, but would have had a price increase of
about $8.00-9.00 so lucky for them, instead of getting $8.00-9.00 more
from me, they are getting only $28.00 as I cancelled everything today
and kept the digital standard with the 2nd feed for the usa networks.
so they lost allot of money with me and they didn't seem to care, told
the guy that I was cancelling because of the price increase that was
coming up in a month and it didn't even bother him. Hopefully enough
people will do the same or even better stop completely and bell will
realized that they are increasing their prices too often and too much.
I'm looking into cable television now as you can now have tv, internet
& telephone & I'm also looking into another cell provider so that bell
will realize that they need to treat their customers allot better than
they do right now.
I do wish we could get disnetwork or directtv, we are in a free country
and we should be able to decide what we want to do with our HARD EARNED
money. I know I work hard for my money, over 1/3 of it goes in taxes
and what is left I would like to be able to spend it on something I
really want, not what again the government wants, it's enough they are
getting a 1/3 of it, why should they tell me what to do with the rest
of it.

When I initially signed on the basics were only 8.95, now they are
3x the
price! While almost every other digital appliance/service has come
down in
price, Bell just continues to skyrocket. What are we really getting
anyways,
CBC, CTV in 4-5 time zones and the networks. Starchoice is not an
option
since they charge for extra receivers. Can you spell monopoly? My
local
cable supplies the same for $17/month and I can even watch one
channel while
recording another.
Yeah definitely... Personally, I'm scheduling my disconnection for
December 31st, which is the day prior to when the price increase takes
effect.

Have you compared Bev's prices to Disnet's ? They bundle the stuff
differently which makes exact comparisons impossible, but looks about
the same to me. If anything I think Dishnet is more expensive. Take a
look at http://www.dishnet.dishontheweb.com/programming.jsp
Depends on what you watch. My wife watches H&G and the food network
which are available on both systems. I watch the major networks Canadian
and US (CBS, NBC,ABC, FOX). You can't get the Canadian networks in the
US and most of the guys I know who have Dish or Direct also have a basic
cable subscriptions in order to get the domestic networks
I also watch local sports (Leafs, Raptors, Jays, Argos) & golf ; A&E and
sometimes CNN and PBS. I also watch the Movie channels which appear to be
about the same in number as the US networks, we get the same movies on
PPV, but also have to have a lot of Canadian movies which seems to bug a
lot of people. Our movie chanels carry most of the HBO special
programming as well such as the Sopranos and Rome. One channel I really
like and wish we could get up here is Turner Classic Movies. I just love
those golden oldies.
I've got 7 of the theme packs and I couldn't agree more that most of it
is useless crap. In looking at the programming packages available on
Dish, I see much of the same crap. Admittedly ther seem to be a lot more
sport channles which is great foir those who will watch any sporting
event no mattter who is playing.
The folks know who have Dish or Direct are "testers" they get everything
such as PPV and porn for free as well as all the NFL packages etc.
Rejoice! Shaw Cable and Star Choice (owned by the same crappy company)
both carry TCM now. Rogers Cable and Bell ExpressVu, get off your lazy
asses and bring this channel home! |
