Watching the Leafs game last night I flipped over to the Sens
game during a commercial. And noticed that Bell had the Title in the info
guide as Ottowa vs New Jersey ....Now I'm not that picky usually but come
on....who is in charge of this shit? And for the kind of money they are
charging for their service.................you'd think they could afford to
pay a proofreader or at least buy a spell checker.

The guide is truly lousy... One thing I hate about it is when you
choose "program details". They get lazy and just leave a generic summary
for many of the programs.

For instance, if you look at the summary for a Simpson's episode,
instead of saying what it's about, they only say "The Simpsons bring
up their problematic kids in Springfield"..

There are many more instances of this.. Lots of times I have to
check the Zap2it site to see what the hell some programs are about.

The really interesting thing is that if it wasn't for OTTOWA and their laws
that keep people in Canada from buying signals from Dishnet, or Directv bev
would be sucking red ink.
They should have more respect.

Amun, Your right. That Charlie guy is a fucking idiot. Instead of having a
working tool-free number from either countries and make a bundle he prefers
to put up a fence and suck red ink.
2 years ago I had Netlink/ turnervision as a provider for my big dish and
they had a working 1-800 number. Today they have one that doesn't work out
of Canada.
In a way you cant blame the US providers as they have little or no
competition and they have 259 million people to chose from . Here we have
Bev , Star Choice and Cable splitting a market with 35 million overtaxed
people.

Don't hammer on Charlie.

The bottom line is that the powers that be in CanOda insisted on a "home
built" satellite tv solution.

So naturally, they had to source all the technology from a US company,
"ECHOSTAR/DISHNET" as no one in Canada knows much more than how build a
robot arm for space shuttles.

So you had a nice little Canadian company formed called expresss-vu, and the
politicians all were able to buy in. (even Pierres relatives)
And they just sublet all the details of how to make it work to old Charlie,
who also has a major chunk of the ownership.

Oops, hey some cannucks might notice that all the receivers for express-vu
look like the obsolete dishnet ones, we were stuck with when the new models
came out.
No problem, we'll just put 4 digit numbers on the Cannuck stuff, and leave
the US dishnet stuff with 3 digit numbers.
Those cannucks will never know

So why would Dishnet want to rock the boat by taking Canadian customers
??????

You didn't really think this was all about patriotism, or even doing what is
best for the customers, did you ????

Amun, are you saying that Charlie is in on ownership at BEV along with our
corrupt government ?

Not Charlie officially.
But Echostar always has had a nice chunk of Bev stock.
Nothing secret about it, stock ownership is public knowledge.
