solution. I am not clear with the number of epochs i have to consider
to get a reliable estimate of the float solution and the ambiguity
vectors. The system in my case is with 6 satellites. We can form 5 DD
equations and there are 5 ambiguities. Since i am using a dual
frequency reveiver there would be 10DD and 10 ambiguities.
Could someone answer my question of how many epochs I should consider
and why... please!!!

Dear Prashant, |
Your question can not be answered. The number of epochs required to
reach a reliable position solution depends on many factors, I'll name
a few:
- baseline length
- antenna quality
- antenna location w.r.t. masking and multipath
- receiver multipath mitigation quality
- receiver noise
- time intervan between epochs
- tropospheric inhomogenity
This list is far from complete.
However, with quality 2 freq geodetic receivers and short (less than
10km) baselines, instantaneous (one epoch) solutions are regulary
claimed.
