The ICD-200C document contains tranformation formulas to calculate
position of a GPS satellite at a particular instant using ephemeris
data downloaded from the GPS signal.

How was the ephemeris data derived from the predicted GPS satellite
orbit by the control segment? Does anyone know if there is any
reference giving information on how the predicted orbit was fitted to
the transformation model, with ephemeris data as the unknown parameter
to be calculated?

Thanks in adavance for your help.

As I understand it, it might be more correct to ask how the satellite
orbit is predicted from the observationally-derived ephemeris data.
