I'm looking for a GPS for my car and saw a FineDrive 400 on sale at Staples
for $399. Can't find out much about it-any comments??

Yea - I just bought it at Staples. So far I really like it. It seems to be accurate. Has automatic night time display mode. Acquisition of the satellites is about 10 - 15 seconds. First time takes about 5 minutes. If you drive off the route it will recalculate the route in about one to 2 seconds.

Be advised that it only has 8 channels instead of the usual 12. But it doesn't seem to matter. I am concerned about map updates. But I have talked to them and they say they will be available once a year.

The main thing to keep in mind is that this is a new kid on the block not like Garmin, Magellan, and Lowrance. Will they be around in a couple of years? I don't know. But you can't beat the price.

A Korean company and their website is totally Korean.
You will never see a download there.
