How can I watch UPC Direct TV programmes with a satellite dish in
Italy?
I've asked some dealers here in Italy without getting a satisfactory
answer.
I'm presently watching analogic TV channels from Astra & HotBird with
a satellite dish which, according to the technician who mounted it, is
ready for digital - I've just to buy a digital receiver.
Now I would like to watch the encrypted bouquet "UPC-Direct" from
Astra - according to the information I've collected so far, I know I
need to buy a "Common interface" digital receiver with a Cryptoworks
CAM.
What nobody seems to know is - would this be enough to watch UPC
Direct channels, or should I also need to buy a smart card to
unscramble the signal? And if so: where could I buy the smart card
here in Italy, and from whom?
The Hungarian homepage of UPC Direct offers subscriptions only for
Hungarian residents, I sent them a telefax message asking for further
information about how to get their service abroad - namely, in Italy -
but got no answer.
Anybody can help me?

by far the cheapest way.
otherwise use on of the links from Cowsland ... be aware that this i a lot
more expensive than the legit sub in Hungary. |
