Hi all

Anyone know how the new TomTom ONE will compare to the GO series, now that I
have got to replace my stolen GO700.

Thanks

Sorry but part of that was wrong - the ONE does also have BlueTooth.

One noteworthy difference, the ONE has the same Sirf3 chipset I have in my
latest antenna, which will be very much more willing to get a lock in things
like garage forecourts, garages, under heavy foliage, etc.

Sorry about your loss. Hope you didn't lose a window at the same time.

The ONE's functionality is pretty much identical to a 300 but a different
package with no docking mount or external antenna possible and a smaller
screen and a battery which lasts less time. Versus your old 700 you also
lose remote control, phone and BlueTooth features, ASR and hard drive.

By one account I read, it is a neat and a very sensitive model.

Check specs here:-
http://www.tomtom.com/products/features.php?ID=143&Language=1

Same 3.5cm screen, can use an external aerial but this is not provided in
box.
Only includes an in-car charger.
Does have latest GPS chipset.

And also does have an external antenna connector although being SSIII is
unlikely to need it in most usage conditions.
