I've currently got Directv, but not the HD package. However, I do have one
TV that is HD-Ready. Not quite ready to upgrade to HD with Directv, since
I'm waiting to see what the new equipment (HD DVR) and deals with it will
bring.

But, here is my question... I've thought about getting an OTA HD receiver.
However, it seems like I can get a second hand Directv HD receiver with an
OTA connection off ebay for much less. So, can I get one of these, still
use my standard dual LNB dish for SD Directv and use the OTA input to show
HD on the tv without needing to subscribe to the HD package?

Thanks for any help,

Jim

Sure, the ota receiver will work fine without the D* hd package.
