Quest2 - firmware upgrade disaster :( |

Guy started loading latest firmware to a Quest2, it stopped after
software erase.
Now the Quest2 starts and displays "System Software Missing" and then
shuts down.
Owner has rightly paniced and asked for my assistance - anyone
experienced similar or have a work around to get the firmware loaded
etc

Oops - very premature - managed to get it to stay on after pushing on
off buton about 7 times :)
Loaded 2.5 firmware - strange thing is - it said it was loading
ver2.10 - go figure :)

Its displaying the PRESENT firmware version from the unit NOT the version
its updating to !!

On a slightly different note I have had problems wit the latest |
software version 2.50 for the Quest 2
1. Slow to acquire satellites
2. Map refresh agonizingly slow. Map will scroll but leave blank
spaces before refreshing
3. Map pointer slow to indicate new direction after making a turn.
Sometimes stuck in one place for20 t0 30 seconds then suddenly
refreshing.
After reinstalling version 2.40 unit is back to normal. |
