Can anyone confirm if the Garmin GTM 10 TMC unit is compatible with the
Garmin Nuvi 300.

Can anyone share any experiences of using the GTM 10 TMC?

Is it worth it?

From the Garmin nuvi site it says "The nüvi 300 is compatible with the
GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver, which allows users to avoid traffic tie-ups
by simply pushing a button that will calculate a new route."

Garmin thinks it works! On garmins update pages:


nuvi 300 software version 2.40 as of December 2, 2005
Changes made from version 2.30 to 2.40:

1.Fixed USB detachment issue.

Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.30:
Added support for displaying topographic maps.
Picture Viewer recenters when pressing 'Back'.
Enabled the disabling of maps.
Added limit of 500 MP3s.
Fix failure of importing waypoints with long names.
Fix power-on bugs with MP3s.
UI Changes for Travel Guide.
Fixes for some German translation problems.
Fixed voice guidance still speaking when turned off.
Fixed problem with GPS mode getting off when antenna is opened/closed
quickly.
Improvements to Traffic software (for use with GTM10).
Added decimal to currency converter update page.
Corrected shutdown due to address finds.
Added option to turn on international symbols for Traffic (for use with
GTM10).
