Are they any good then?

Oh :
Hiya. I'm Dave and I'm new here - well, I've been lurking for a month
two but this is the first time I've stuck my head over the parapet.

Cheers

Look out for the inevitable flaming then!

Irma.

PS. Technomate boxes are pretty good - what are you trying to
watch/achiec exactly? Just avoid the very cheap receivers - most of
these are bollox. Echostar, Kaon, Fortec etc. are all reliable and
reasonnably priced.

Sorry for my spelling - I meant "achieve".

Thanx. No problems with the flaming - I'm fire-proof ;-D

I've bought a 7755 - just got work out how to drive it now.
And I've bought a Technomate motor to go with it.
Endless hours of fun and amusement getting them to talk to each other I
expect!

I don't really now what I'm trying to achieve - yet.
I used to watch the D2-Mac stuff on the old analogue Astra satellites. So
probably something else vaguely subversive like that.
There's got to be some decent channels out there that can be viewed without
lining Rupert Murdoch's pocket ;-)

Cheers

Hotbird is a good place to start, lot's of "free" stuff with the right
hardware. Hispasat is worth a look too as I think D+ is viewable.
