Today there has been a scroll across the top of G5/18 saying that cable
operators should have switched to the digital feed of Sci-Fi as this
analog is ending.

Is the digital available on 4dtv (where?) or is this another one of
those cable company only digital feeds?

Sci-Fi is not leaving analog, at least not soon.

That message is to the cable companies.

Just checked there and G1/24 is a digital transponder - no analog Sci-Fi.

I didn't mean analog, I meant in DCII, and I think 4DTV compatible.

Just refreshed the channel map (it didn't have some of the recent
changes such as The Golf Chanel) and checked everything on G1 in the
IPG. No Sci-Fi there.

Lyngsat.com does show Sci-Fi East and West on G1/24 but doesn't have a
virtual channel number assigned. Just hasn't been mapped fully yet? Or
is it going to be mapped for cable companies only?

According to netlink, they are (at least VC service). NL just made good on
their pulling the plug of the Denver 5, so this should also probably be taken
seriously.

Their threat also covers TNT, Starz (5 analog channels), and a couple of
others that haven't yet been pulled.

D5 is uplinked by YSP

Sci-Fi is not uplinked by YSP

YSP will tell you anything to pimp DishNet. Sometimes it is true, sometimes it
is not true. They do not care which.
