See, it only takes a few months bickering.
A battle between states in the US over siting a facility
might take longer,

Jan

Of course it takes longer here in the US. Each meeting provides the
opportunities for free beverages, donuts, bagels, lunch, etc.

It depends on who organises the meeting. The cultures of
business-lunches can change from one region to another.

The "cliché" says that if you have a meeting with (e.g.) dutch
business-people, it usually consists of sandwiches and the discussions
usually goes on during the lunch.

According the same "cliché", if you have a business-lunch in Belgium, it
will probably be more like in one of the paintings of Breughel and
talking business during the lunch is out-of the question. In Belgium,
lunch is to get to know eachother, not to have though business discussions.

Do this kind of regional differences in "business-lunches" also exist in
the US?

Right, they have been fighting over GPS sites for years. They might
never get it operational.

Apparently, according to the speeches and articles from Europe, Galileo
is a done deal...operational in fact. Oh wait...
