Ive stayed away from Dishnet as I was under the impression it was doomed and
about to be toast to testers. I see a lot of talk about success with
Atmegas, can anyone predict if its worth buying a dishnet receiver? BEV goes
up in price in January and I would really like to reduce the sub to a
minimum.

You are right there Lennyd, let me rephrase, has dishnet completed the card
swap to Nagra 2?
I read extensively but some people write in with totally unhelpful replies.
If people didnt answer legitimate questions what would be there to read?

Keith, how would anyone either than the service provider know the answer to
your question. Think about it........

And do a search before asking such questions. That way you can draw your own
conclusions.

Just a wild guess but it will last about as long as it takes to do another
card swap. From the time the N2 card swap was announced until everything
was running on N2 was quite a while... probably about a year or so... so
unless Bev and Dish come up with a new strategy to do swaps much faster I
think we're going to be going for a while.

They have completed from what I hear nagra 2 is busted full open. As for
the cost of changing over well that depends on you.

Actually, all they really have to do to us testers is to constantly change
the RSA keys every 15 mins. I don't think anyone of us will bother flashing
our receivers every 15 mins. It sure is way better for them to change RSA
keys rather than regular keys.
