I see from the Garmin download site that there is a new version of the Etrex
software version 3.30, which is only compatible with version 3.00. I have
presently installed version 21.4. Does anyone know how or if I can get from
version 2.14 to version 3.00.

Buy a new etrex! Version 3.00 is the new unit with different hardware and
its firmware is not compatible with the original units.

I noticed the other day that the yellow etrex on sale in Millets (UK) are
now the new version. (At least they are being advertised as having multiple
route capability).

It's physically impossible-- the 3.0 series eTrex has double the
amount of Flash ROM as the 2.14, so the new software just won't fit.
(Firmware upgrades were disabled in the 'final' 2.14 release as well.)
