Is there any way to mute he radio when the 2610 talks to you? My radio has
the cell phone muting connector.

This is the kind of thing you can do with the Autocom unit, which is

commonly used on motorbikes, so technically it is do-able, Should be
adaptable for car use, or there may be other comercial products which
let you do it.
