Showtime uses different calendar than the rest of us |
|
|
Current example:
On the Showtime website, "The Thing" is scheduled to appear on Sundance
channel, "Friday 12:05am" (Eastern). See below for copy/paste of
scheduled broadcasts.
A check on the Directv site indicates it will be shown on Saturday, Dec.
17at 12:05 am, Eastern.
Showtime is a day off. This happens consistently. To Showtime, Friday
night continues through the next early morning; thus, Saturday 12:05 am is
still Friday! This is really confusing because somebody on Mountain Time
would expect to see "The Thing" THURSDAY 10:05 pm. But it will in reality
be shown on Friday, Dec 16 at 10:05 pm.
Showtime would better serve their customers if they use actual east coast
calendar dates and times and let their customers convert to local dates and
times.
