And potential buyers should be aware that without a valid subscription.

A 6000 receiver WILL NOT get HDTV broadcasts.

For testing purposes, a 2700 will be equally as good and far cheaper.
(about $75.00 now)

Of course those that want to "take a chance" can spend their money as they
wish.

Wrong about no free tv
I phoned bev played dumb and asked her if I needed to exchange my card or if
they would send me a new one. I was told that unless I decided to subscribe
to specialty channels like nfl or nascar I likely would never need to get
the new card. sounds like they are just protecting the high end stuff. So

correct I also spoke with bell rep no card swap only HDTV models for now.

All you clowns out there should do your math
Bell has about 1 million plus customers out there
if they were to do a card swap even at $50 per customer there cost, they
couldn't afford to do it the man power alone to activate the new access
cards would be extensive and the replacement of all the older version
receivers that are still activated would cost them a bundle so enjoy your
free TV for a long time folks. 80% of the people on the news groups don't

You're selling the same 6000 receiver for $700 - LOL
USELESS for HDTV unless you subscribe!!!!!!!

Looks like you got stuck paying to much and trying to pawn it off on

You are forgetting that a 6000 had Dolby Digital and the UHF remote. To be
fair I think it should be compared to a 4700 rather than the lower-end 2700.

Since when is an automated activation system considered manpower?
Also, the card is compatible w/ all models; and FYI, "a long time" is
before Summer 2005.

Possibly, but my main point was that the 6000 is almost valueless, without
a legit sub.

Potential buyers SHOULD be made aware of that.

Without HDTV the amount of "dolby" shows/movies is slim to none.
And how many people REALLY do need a UHF remote ?

you sir are the clown ... they are indeed sending cards to other subs

you're right. it probably will be at least a year. but i'm a hacker??? and
what does that mean? so i test my sat, but i still pay bev 60 bucks a month
as well, this ain't about free tv. 500,000 subs i agree is probably more
accurate than 1000000. do you suppose bev plans to send cards to those who

you sir are the clown ... they are indeed sending cards to other subs
without playboy, football or hdtv, a co-worker of mine received one, also
mistaken that they will be replacing old equipment....that same
co-worker,
has a 4500 greybox, as old as they come, so obviously there is no
equipment
that won't work with it they'd be replacing.
the cards distributed are used under licence from nagravision, expressvu
doessn't even wholely own the cards so it would have to have been allowed
for replacement at some point, i wouldn't worry about if they can afford
it
or not. time wise, i do agree, that expressvu will be a while. they are
poor and slow at everything they do... customer service, etc. so why
would
they be any better at a card swap. i don't know from anywhere, but what
makes you say they have 1,000,000+ subscribers? i highly doubt that
number,
they may say they have lots and lots of customers, but of which of bell's
services? satellite? telephone? cell? 1,000,000 seems pretty high to me.
the 80% of people here you you think don't know anything might like to
remind you that it's all of us contributing here that keeps places like
this
usefull. comments like yours aren't usefull, so take your own advice and
don't shoot your own mouth off

correct I also spoke with bell rep no card swap only HDTV models for
now.

All you clowns out there should do your math
Bell has about 1 million plus customers out there
if they were to do a card swap even at $50 per customer there cost,
they
couldn't afford to do it the man power alone to activate the new access
cards would be extensive and the replacement of all the older version
receivers that are still activated would cost them a bundle so enjoy
your
free TV for a long time folks. 80% of the people on the news groups
don't
know what there talking about have nothing better to do than shoot off
there
mouth. MONEY TALKS

Wrong about no free tv
I phoned bev played dumb and asked her if I needed to exchange my card
or
if
they would send me a new one. I was told that unless I decided to
subscribe
to specialty channels like nfl or nascar I likely would never need to
get
the new card. sounds like they are just protecting the high end stuff.
So
I'll keep on watching the passing game instead of the running game I'm

no they won't send cards but will be interesting
futureshop is was dumping all there receivers at $99 no sub needed I would
like to know how many were sold and still being sold on the net, it is all a
farce bell makes money either way through hardware or subscription
cat and mouse game Nagra 2 will be cracked or bell will never sell new
hardware.

Dtv is the only smart company out there, incription wise solid, dishnetwork
sending out new access cards as we speak and swapping units and offering
system upgrades at great prices as per attachment

you're right. it probably will be at least a year. but i'm a hacker???
and
what does that mean? so i test my sat, but i still pay bev 60 bucks a
month
as well, this ain't about free tv. 500,000 subs i agree is probably more
accurate than 1000000. do you suppose bev plans to send cards to those
who
don't sub? i don't
