A couple of days ago, when trying to view a 1 1/2 hour programme that
was 1/2 way through recording, I found that I could only view the last
20 minutes or so.

Also, the selected viewing channel had returned to the default Sky
Information channel 999 (or 998, can remember which), always a bad
sign that something had gone wrong.

Assuming the recording was going to fail, I deleted the title from the
planner.

Now however, I'm left with a 1 1/2 hour long "phantom programme",
indicated by a dark blue patch on the scroll bar at the top of the
planner, but with no corresponding title in the planner list.

I can't delete from the list, because there is no title. I tried
deleting by default, by filling up the hard disk and setting all
titles to Keep, but this does not work. I've effectively lost 1 1/2
hours of the hard disk.

As Sky helpline would probably just ask me to do a hard reset, losing
all other titles, any other solutions would be gratefully received.

I suspect that this is the only solution.
