Heya guys I reckon I really got some feedback! I just switched over to a
dish system and sold my DSZ 200 with the vc2+ RS. While not really trying to
steal programming I hae aquired several receivers that I am going to sell
"as working" but the only board I have is a A0 18xxxx with a vms type chip
that asks for wizards be entered 1 time. Call me cheap but I don't want to
drop $$ on a modual and then have to subscribe to a minimum of 5 channels
unles I have to. I will be going to 4dtv as soon as I get these sold for the
$$ to buy one. Just thought you ould help out. Thanks !

The 018 needs to go in a cage and would will get a ton of stolen
(free) channels with a simple eprom in the 018.
You can put a RS in the 4DTV for the ones you want to buy.

That too is illegal theft chips.
The proper way to get sound is to get a pink board, and obtain
authorisation from a providers.

Hmm... "Pink board" you know what that could mean. Hacked 029???
My years old legal board is blue. Glad to see that you are finally
giving some good advice...

No, a VCRS, has a slot and a modem. Call up any provider and they will
make picture and sound come on nearly any VCII+ chanel, if you tell
them the right things. I have one of those boards myself.

IIRC, the "pink board" is just the international version of the VCRS
module. It is the same as the US VCRS, but no MOM. It is not "hacked."

Some of the first VCII's, the 029's, were pink. There was a trick to
make the intro on some channels stay on making viewing possible.

The first VC 2 + were bright blue, the second version was pink with and
without a card slot. There were even some that were pink and blue. The
last version is the dark blue VCRS module with the card slot.

That's nice, but that doesn't answer the question at hand: Were the
029 VCII (*not* VCII+) modules pink?

Were they not grey?
