I think it was being considered but put on hold after the ruling in Quebec.
My opinion the bill is basically the same law but with much harsher
penalties.

Make sure that all computers are:

1) windows updated!ie: Win XP=XP Service pack 2 and any other security
enhancements
2) have AV software installed and all virus definition files upto date.
- spyware software is a must also.
- avoid using P2P software which often installs "spyware" ie: kazaa" amd
Imesh, among others.I speak by experience.Took me a lot of work to clean up
my computer.
3) Firewall -MUST be installed...ie: Zone Alarm Pro(the free Zone Alarm is
ok,but not as good as the Pro version, because it doesn't protect IM
communications and so on.)...

use antispam software,like Mailwasher(it's fab!)...(use a webmail
address for all non-personal communications)

*don't open unknown emails.
*if you get a virus from someone,or from a whole list -don't send an email
to them and risk spreading the virus further(at not til you've cleaned your
computer). On my ISP this dumb stuff happens a lot.I wish people would think
before sending those "you've got a virus emails" because it overloads the
system anyway.
