I am extremely pleased to be paying more for satellite subscription
packages and getting less channels. So happy in fact that I will call
those good people with the teeny Dish Network 'Super Dish' to drop one
off next week. Just love living in the good ole U. S. of A. The local
scrap dealer said that he could load the BUD on top of the 53 De Soto
wagon. Yes sir re Bob, you can't say that I am not going digital now.
All you tadpoles out there want to tell me about MPEG, PAL, HDDVD, DVB,
Pansat 2500a? I was around long before the first commercial television
broadcasts in this country. I still have my first TRF receiver. So cut
loose.

Or a year from now, when he finds out what he's REALLY paying for his
Pizza -Dish TV!Dish is upgrading to the Nagravision 2 at the end of the
year -guess who's paying for that!

Or when his favorite show,or sports event is washed out due to heavy rain
and snow!

Honestly,a few channels leave C band analog and you get all kinds of
wart-hogs snorting 'the sky is falling!"

Good! The people left will be the ones who WILL pay for quality and who are
not afraid of change and know that paying for hardware upgrades is to be
expected!

6:1 ??? On their best channels, maybe. They are down to ~2 Mbps
transmissions on some channels. As long as people keep subscribing,
they will keep squeezing the data rate.

What I can't understand is, why get rid of your BUD? Do what I do, use
it all. Have the small dish for the programming you can't get elsewhere
and use the BUD for other programming Dish or Direct doesn't have. That
way you can have the best of both worlds. I have OTA, analog, VC2, DVB,
4DTV, Star Choice, and Dish. There is very little I don't have. That way
you can have your cake and eat it too.

I think everyone did.

Guess there will be an available BUD for someone to install.
