Again this is incorrect, if you have only ever installed the software once
then you can install to another device once 7 days has passed from the
initial install. You can then install to a third devic once 6 months has
passed.

What if you have a spare HDD and reinstall Windoze and the software from
scratch?

Why not ask the seller?

cant help some people......

I've heard of some software makers use what they call a key. The key is a thing that you plug in the parallel port and then the software will work. Is this what slayer is speaking of?

The Hardware ID of the PDA is stored on TomTom's activation servers so this
would make zero difference.

I asked Tom Tom when I changed my phone over due to a fault. I bought
the software, have no choice as its a work thing. Not knowing about
the way Tom Tom works when it comes to install, I sent the old phone
back after a hard reset and installed the software on the new phone.
It would not allow me to enter a serial. Mailed Tom Tom, 3 days later
I get some strange responce about looking at the Software Licence and
only being allowed to install it on one device. No the responce I
wanted. Second atempt and still not sensable answer.

Thanks Darren, worth knowing that. The only problem I have is the O2, XDA2s
I have is crap and they have replaced it three times in less than two
months, so you can see the problem I have and they plan to replace it again
for me.

The only saving grace I have, is that even with the use of the crack, I know
I bought my copy

Fair point. That is an issue that will always be a problem with anti-piracy
measures but then TomTom should have a procedure in place to reset the
install codes on production of proof that you unit has been replaced.
TomTom's software is very good, unfortunately their support is next to
non-existent which is fine in most situations as we can answer the vast
majority of user issues but this is one area we can't help with!

Yep thats the bugger, it is only licenced for 1 machine, the swine
that sold it me forgot to tell me that, (and i cant get hold of him
to sort it out (posiibly with Mr. Wood !!!)

as for the activation codes on emule none work.

if you downloaded a code generator (obviously for legitimate reasons)
and input your device code make sure you use the correct case because
it's case sensitive, lowercase letters will give a completely
different code to uppercase (or combination of)
