The Pansat PVR 700HC Digital PVR sports a 60 gigabyte harddrive. How
much record time does that equal? We are now seeing DVD recorders with
harddrives, and it is my guess that those harddrives would also have the
same record times per unit space. Of course, the newer layer DVD
recorders will change things.

It really depends on the bitrate of the broadcast.

FWIW, DirecTV DVRs store somewheres near 1GB /hr. An 80 GB unit
records up to 70 hrs, andt the TiVo OS has overhead, plus some
reserved space for TiVo promotional recording.
