E.G.:

Datum units wass etc.

If there were one group of 'best' settings for everyone
the manufacturer wouldn't need to include all the
options for other settings. The default values you
get when the unit is new are those that are felt to be
most useful for a wide range of applications.

Without knowing details of how you plan to use it
no one can give you reasonable advice on what to change.
