Several of the Garmin GPS units (the 76C) are listed as Marine GPS
units. The features seem to be the same as any others except for what
software comes with it.

Is there a PHYSICAL difference in marine vs. land GPS's???

Thanks

The 76C series will float while the 60C (non "marine" series) don't.
The only difference in the firmware is that the 76C have built-in tide
station data for the US that the 60C's don't. Both come with the Trip
& Waypoint manager software (i.e. MapSource without maps).
