Do you know the capabilities of the 20 contacts in the base? I'll give
you a help: two will be ground and +5v, so just 18 to figure out now :-)

And PDA's using BT GP need no wires at all.

Unless like me, you're using them every day for 8-10hrs.

They're for the soon to be announced car-kit. This provides audio
integration with the car stereo, external remote antenna, permanent power,
car-audio mute when voice announcements are made etc.

I have a BT GPS that'll run for 20hrs on one charge so that's one cable for
the 12v to the PDA. And I do use them all day every day. Wires can be a
real issue when you have 4 or more PDA's, Smartphones etc all needing power
as well as 4+ GPS receivers!

If you can wait until Thursday, there's seriously good deal here...

http://tinyurl.com/4c5wy

Sadly it's a regional offer, so you'll need to check and see if you fall
within one of the regions or be prepared to do some driving.

The 400mHz PDA, must almost be worth the deal price!

I got one of these from Makro, pretty impressed with it. I like that it
doubles as a PDA too, the Falk software came straight off it though and
a copy of Tom Tom went on.

(Not sure how nationwide Makro is though, might not help the OP, but it
might..)

Makro covers the country pretty much but there is about 60-80 miles
between stores so the OP may be unlucky. For a top class cheap PDA
solution, the PDA on sale at Makro with a copy of Prymenav would be rock
bottom pricing.

The PDA with SD card and GPS is certainly worth the price. I may be
outside my local Lidl on Thursday.

Has any one had any success in finding a list of their stores? I know
there is a store finder on the web site but I can be in any part of the
country from one day to the next and it would be handy to have a full
list.
I'll try their hotline number tomorrow and see if there is one, seems
strange they don't put it on the web site.

The offer is limited to stores in the Midlands, Norfolk and Lincolnshire,
London and the South East / South West of England (except Gloucestershire
and Hereford).

I did and I'm part way through making my own list of all of their stores
for future reference. It just seemed odd that they didn't offer a full
listing anywhere. 192.com was quite a good start, listing 49 entries
but this did miss out quite a few.
