I wrote a message to this group, I cannot find it when I look at the group.
I know it appeared since it is in my sent folder and I received an email
reply to the message. How do I refresh the newsgroup to have it reappear?

If it's the one reference SPIII Memory Cards then it is visible, you may
have your newsreader configured to hide read messages, if it is Outlook
Express try 'View | Current View | Show all messages' with this group
selected.

If you have Outlook Express SP1, configured as above, press CTRL+H to show
any threads you have created/replied to.
