Ever wonder what satellite piracy is doing to advertisers?

Well if there are millions of pirates watching shows on local commercial TV,
thus getting brainwashed by advertisers at the same time, then what will
happen when the Canadian and american DBS providers pull the plug on all the
pirate activity?

Well you guessed it, the advertisers are going to loose hundreds of millions
of dollars in advertising revenus, all because their programming is
scrambled at the distribution level.

Isn't it ironic that you HAVE TO PAY to watch commercials?

Shouldn't commercial TV really be free to watch by everyone, and not
scrambled by multi billion dollar conglomerates?

And the spirit of hackers was upon the HU cards..

And Mikobu said,Let there be more ExtremeHU options..
And Digibluh saw the options,and said they are good.
And they called the new version Extreme HU 3.1,
And our PC's divided the Extreme HU from Basic H..

And we called the first unlooping HUFF,
And in the second morning was reborn UL4S.
And the unlooping came together under one program,
And the hackers saw that this was good...

And the hackers cried..Let the software bring forth,
PPV wipes,Cloning,Edit Modes,and a bootstrap...
It was the software that yielded less glitches,
And the hackers saw that this was good...

And the hackers blessed the day HU Unlooping emerged,
And they rested after days of repairing the stack of looped cards..
And each version of UL4S,we may freely choose to use .....
But thou shalt not use TecMan,or thou shall always have FF...

And out of the desk drawers,came every looped HU card..
And the hackers brought them forth,to the Mikobu's and Intek's alike..
And the hackers called every looped card FF,and each fixed card a
miracle.
And a deep sleep fell upon the hackers,exhausted from the HU
repairing..

And the hacker did give the remote to his wife,and she did change

And they heard the voice of Tanya on ch. 222,and they laughed at her.
And Tanya said,Your bin is toast,get ready for a P4 card,O' vile ones.

And Bowflex commercials shall be seen everday for all the days of thy

Thorns and thistles,and reruns of Junk in the trunk,I shall give to

Shall be taken on sevenfold,and I shall kill him.
And the hackers knew his wife would bitch about no Oxygen channel,
So he installed a new system,and called it UTV.

And Dave said,MY hatred shall always be for the hackers.
For he is also human,yet his days shall be numbered.
There were giants among us..Dexter,Mikobu,No1B4Me...
They became mighty men,and were known of renown.

And Dave saw the intelligence of these men was on this earth,
And the thoughts of their hearts was to intercept his signals.
And it sickened Dave,that these men were upon this earth,
And it grieved him in his corporate heart.

And Dave said,I will destroy the men who create this software...
For it repenteth me that our supreme being has made them.
But the hackers found grace in the eyes of Dave,
That he was just a man,that walked on 2 legs too.

And the hackers stole more datastream,saying come into my dish.
Of all CMD's and C-9's,I shall repel You.
And Dave cried,I shall cause a new USW 007.
And the DSW shall remaineth 006.

For many days,he shall cause the USW to update,
And every 3M I will destroy off the face of the receiver.
And the hackers did try to use 007/006 Extreme hex repairs...
And they did it according to what the ADH NG commanded them.

Slick...Am I glad you brought that up man....!!! I've been watching Sta tv
for years now and I remember when TLC and a shitload of channels were
commercial Free.
Like you said the commercial content on pay tv is obnoxious. Last week I was
watching the Science channel and I counted 11 commercial in a row. Yes 11
commercials.
Some were 1 minute some 30 secs some 15 secs for a total of 7 mins 15 secs.
That's almost 8 mins of programming GONE that we paid for.All this to learn
that I can loose weight with a 159 dollar pill, That my grandmother can look
like Claudia Scheffer in 2 weeks with Bowflex and that i can drool prine
juice on my white shirt and make it white again with Oxy5.
Then they offered me a permanent hard-on with Viagra and a Home loan in 5
mins with Dytech.com. All this to end with a Tums commercial.
What a waste of air mave. LOL I figure if I PAY I shouldn't be forced to
listen to that CRAP.
The programmers make money both ways now, the consumer and the corporate
side.

sn00p..I think what slick means is that Publicity has gotten out of hand .
Everywhere you turn ,look, listen, drive, work, eat and drink, there is
Publicity polluting our everyday Lives. You pick up the phone only to find
an automatic message wanting to sell you something.
You Hook up your new fax machine recently bought only to find a publicity
message on it the next morning offering you rebates on Training classes.
You turn on your computer only to be bombarded by Pop-ups and or stupid
updates by Microsoft.
Havent we gone far enough with Publicity ? Does it have to even control the
children's lives ?
Our community ? Now we Run for dimes, Run for charity, run for Cancer all
this funded by a multi-national company.
We fill out contest coupons hoping to win something only to find that our
name and address and phone number was sold to about 500 tele-marketing
companies.
If this is not an exageration of information overload what is ? Slick back
to you !!

ric..... I remember being subbded to Popular Electronics for years. Until
one day I received a copy with 97 pages, out of those 87 were publicity 10
briefly touched projects and new material.
That's the day I cancelled. Later, Pop.Elec went bottoms up. I guess I
wasn't the only one fed up with it.
