Repair Humax5400Z tuner section |
|
|
I have a Humax 5400Z that was zapped by 240 volts thru the coax from the dish during house repair.
The tuner section coax out should have 13.8 volts, now nothing, the tuner supply has 30 volts in but no voltage out to the coax. Any ideas on how the tuner section could be repaired, I have a circuit diagram, need some advice where to get spare parts, what part is faulty, preferably from a friendly soul in Melbourne. The power supply is ok and the lights come up when turned on.

IF the power supply was OK it would still be supplying 14 // 18 volts
You have cooked something in the voltage selection switch for Horz // vert.
Contact Ocean on Vetrun's , he might be able to trace the problem , but
really if your going to spend money on new tuners, etc, it might be better
to dump the thing and buy something a bit more modern.
