I need an infra red remote for my Starr Trak Eight receiver. My dear little
cat knocked it off a table and it seems to be dead now (the remote, not the
cat; yet). Can anyone help or advise me where I might find such a thing?
Please reply here or by email. This email address will need a little
modification as follows. Remove the obvious bit and replace the first "a"
with "r." (rdot). TIA

My brother-in-law had the same problem except his 1 year old son threw it across
the room. I popped it open and found two solder joints that had broken away.
Resoldered them and everything was fine once more. Maybe you will be as lucky?

The silly thing started working again. I don't know why but all is well
