FREE Dial-up for downed Starband users (or anyone else for t |

i found these while looking around on the net, when i typed up free
dial-up.
these are just 2 of the many free dial-up services available in
different areas. you can probably find more if you look around, but i
tried both of these, and they work fine, and do not require you to
install any browser hijacking software, or require any special
dialers.
keep in mind, that these may cost you long distance charges, as one is
located in Washington and the other is located in New York City.
If you have unlimited long distance, or you live in these 2 areas,
this works out great for you, but like i said, there may be more that
you can find on your own, in other areas.
btw- i am getting around anywhere from 28.8 to 36k speed, and i am
about 2000 miles away from each of them.

Washington / New England access #'s.
at first it seems that you must download a dialer by the company -
this is not true. go to the FAQ section, scroll down to "Q: I don't
have Windows. How can I use the service?"
click on the area you want #'s for, (Northwest= Washington, New
England).
on the side you will find the #'s for the location you entered.
set up a normal dial-up account to the # of your choosing.
Login is the same for all the #'s:
Username: guest
Password: password

it was difficult to get through to this one, since the line was busy a
few times i tried (they have 7 access #'s), but setting up and signing
up is easy and free.
just go to the page, click on sign up, type in a login, and password
of your choosing, and click on the "click here to register"
it should pop up with something like Thank you for registering, your
account is now active.
a list of access #'s are on the sign up page - click on the "*View
Access Numbers" at the top underneath the top bar.
full instructions on how to set up a dial-up access connection are as
easy as clicking on support.
hope someone finds some usage out of these. |
