Worried that the IA5/14 analog feed of "Joan of Arcadia" would
be digital next year?
Relax...CBS has canceled the series. |

After I saw the last episode, I expected Joan would end.
Its was written for a continuance into a new season, but it was definitely a
stopping point for this program.

I think your right on point.
To bad for Joan, it had well written plots that were universal to all
religions, and/or social issues. It was probably to serious for the
average viewer.

Yet sitcoms such as "Yes, Dear" continue. Go figure.....

It was one of the few "must see" dramas for me. CBS did the same thing
to another drama (about a single dad professor) a few years ago. But
we have THREE CSIs! Go figure... |

I watched every episode of Joan too.
"Education Of Max Bickford" was the show your are referring to. It had
Richard Dreyfuss as the professor. I watched all those episodes as well. It
only ran one season, 22 episodes total(I just looked it up).

That's the one. Good writing, which seems to bring on death for
CBS shows. Too bad. I guess before long we'll have "OC" type
shows (or CSIs) from 8-11 on all networks. Try something different -
get canceled. |
