I haven't even been into these newsgroups since the changeover to that new
digital foxtel. I thought all my old equipment was useless. My Topfield and
cam are sitting in the draw thinking it was uncrackable.

I'm a born again virgin at this now. Can someone give me a rundown on what's
happening. Can this thing be cracked again, what do i need, any sites have
info?

Yes, there is hope for you, just wait till you see the replies to my reply
and then you will get an idea of the people you have asked this question.

The so-called "New Digital Foxtel" has been cracked but,
it is still in its infancy and is not going to be released till this happens
so
you will have to just cool your heels and wait
Don't throw out your Topfield yet, wait for the release date coming soon to
your small screens.
At this date, the plug-in module is too expensive to even try to sell,
also it is as ugly as hell, almost as large as the Topfield itself,
adding in time, costing to date is $33575
actual costs for materials are $1295.
Going to Shangahai next week to talk to some people to try and get costs
down

If so do what RT does and use voice recognition software and a microphone
so you can use both hands.

you've done it this time...i can't think of one chipset or any
componant used in a control circut that could cost anywhere near that
to manufacture on a production line, even when privately developed.
for $200 in parts i can make a guided missle control system and anyone
for that matter and take out the service in question.
(Internet terrorist taskforce is asked to use extreeme descreation at
this post,I have no intenions of developing such a system or testing
such a system,I will advise local council and apply for a saftey permit
for my LAB before any progession further than chit chat is perceived. I
need a permit to think under the Australian gov. but my knowledge level
was achieved before I was informed or had access to rules and
regulation on the subject at hand, therefore I ask for UN type
descreation, which in this day and age means I would likey be locked up
and executed just for my knowledge.)

Total Rubbish, you have no idea, how the system works.
You really should get in contact with George.
Explain why sometimes you get 2 days transmission and sometimes 5 minutes.
I know why, in theory, but I wonder if you do
