Did Directv profit from the P4/5 card? |
|
|
Did Directv make enough money on new subscriptions to justify the
expense of changing out all the Hu cards? Is there any data on this? I
heard they are now losing money. My guess is that Testers went to
Charlie and Canadians can't easily subscribe anyway. |

13,000,000 subscribers and counting.
Average sub is about $40 a month.Plus PPV's and sports packages.
Bombarding us with advertisements on every channel.Plus the expensive
DirectWay systems.
I'd say that they are doing quite well, wouldnt You?
The P5 has not been comprimised.Game over.
DTV slam dunks the masses.Period.

I know I did exactly that-Dishnet, because our Government here, while
letting terrorists and criminals in left and right, sees feet to worry about
Canadian Content, so they coddle and protect pure garbage like Corner Gas,
Popcultured and Royal Canadian Air Farce. But when Dishnet is officially
switched, I'm going to start subscribing to DTV again. I know my Government
is trying to protect me from the horror of shows like Weeds, Over There,
Rescue Me and most of what's on the evil empires also known as HBO and
Showtime... but I just can't help myself.
