Now that wouldn't be very logical, would it?

Now that I have my FREE HR10-250, I look forward to the day of my free
MPEG4 HD-DVR upgrade. When did you all say that would be?

While I agree that Steve's logic wasn't entirely consistent, neither is
yours as evidenced by this latest post. Where has anyone stated
anything other than what they believed might happen? Nobody's saying
anything is definitely going to happen.

I made no guess, and refuse to, I just called you on your guess of free

Then you're guessing there won't be free upgrades. You can't have it
both ways.

I see logic isn't your strong suit.

You're the one with fault logic. If not "A" doesn't mean not "B".

Sorry you didn't take logic in college.

ALl I say is we don't know, and DirecTv won't say despite SEC guidelines
that might require it.

Choose your battles wisely, Jack. And learn to follow attributes.

My comment was in response to Steve's post, not yours. Or are you
simply stuck in the attack mode?

Now that wouldn't be very logical, would it?

Most likely, just a few days after they send it.

Have any policies about discounted or free hardware changed after the
ownership change? No!

Two year contract, instead of one year required for upgrades.

There is nothing in any ads (at least locally) for DirecTV
receivers/new installs that say a 2-year committment is required. All
mention just one year, like before.

Two year contract, instead of one year required for upgrades.

Upgrades to "Advanced equipment" translation HDTV receivers -
now generate a 2 year committment

Programming Commitment:
Customers purchasing a DIRECTV Standard System agree to a 12-month
programming commitment. Customers purchasing a DIRECTV HD, DIRECTV DVR, or
DIRECTV HD DVR System agree to a 24-month programming commitment.
Programming commitments require that a subscription to a qualifying
programming package be maintained, uninterrupted, for the entire duration of
the programming commitment.

This seems to be only for new customers, since I haven't had any change
in my committment even though I have purchased several items that should
qualify for a 2-year committment.

Also, from this, it's not an HD thing...it's anything other than a "standard"
receiver.
