Does anyone know of an easy way to cancel a sports package on Directv?
They automatically renew each year and I can't find a way to cancel on
thier website. You can add packages but not subtract. I called and got
in an endless phone maze. After about 30 minutes of trying, I got a
human that she said she would cancel ESPN full court. I checked today
on the website and it still shows up on my account. The same thing
happened last year with the football package and I had to call a second
time to get it removed from my bill. It seems like they ignore your
first request deliberatly. -RP

That's about the size of it. Just keep calling until they do; ask to
speak with a manager if you can't get a level 1 to get things done.

Ask for retention department. That will get their attention.

My friend died and they are still billing him for a sports
subscription. His poor widow is still trying to cancel it.

With the NBA, which I cancelled, they said wait until June or July
(after the current season). I just called customer support and told
them to cancel it. Was not on any bill since.
