I want to use s-video from my direct rec. to my TV.When I turn on my TV I
must change to s video mode on my TV each time I turn it on. This requires
me to use the TV remote instead of the direct remote. How can I solve this?
thanks Gary a new direct customer.

My D-TIVO remote allows me to program it to send the code for changing
the TV video mode. It scrolls thru the selections, Video 1, Video 2,
Video 3, and RF in. Check the manual, it gives the codes for many
sets, and instructions on how to find the code if yours isn't given.

How many cables attach to the TV?
Perhaps you've plugged in both a composite and an S-video cable?
Maybe the TV would use S-video if it were the only one plugged in?
Just guessing here, but you should not need to do that with your TV.
It can't be that poorly designed, I'd hope. |
