Katrina News Coverage |
|

For those that want to watch an excellent feed from the storm area then
go no farther than the coverage from WBRZ, Baton Rouge, at Intelsat 5
transponder 9.
The feed is continous and presented as a news cast. You will see a great
deal of live video and hear interviews from people directly involved in
the situation.
What is most helpful is the helicopter flights over neighborhoods
showing the extent otf the water and damage. The station will probably
start showing attempts to close the breached levee that is flooding New
Orleans. It is my understanding that attempts will be made to start
dropping 53,000 pound sand bags by helicopter tomorrow to try and reduce
the water flow. |

Correction on the satellite channel. WBRZ is on Intelsat 5 (transponder 7).
