Need help aligning Orbitron dish |
|
|
Hi, (first time posting here). I just acquired a new BUD. I had a 7.5' with C-Band only and found a local willing to give up their 10' C/Ku dish just for getting rid of it for them. Now then I've run into a major problem trying to align this new dish. It seems the manufacture came up with a (clever) way to adjust the latitude. They welded the base of the dish on crocked and by spinning the dish the altitude goes up or down. I have found this to be a big pain in the ass because every time you turn the dish to adjust the altitude it's also pointing the dish some other place in the sky left/right. The manufacture is Orbitron and I have no manuals to go with it. If you know where I can find some information on aligning one of these dishes, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
~Ben |

That's not to set the 'altitude', it's to set the declination. You set
it based on your latitude and then aim the dish (altitude and azimuth). |
